  • 4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup of fresh breadcrumbs
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Salt to taste
  • Grated Pecorino Romano or Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese for serving


  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta cooking water before draining.
