  • 1 cup of tomato sauce (passata)
  • 1/4 cup of golden raisins
  • 1/4 cup of pine nuts
  • A pinch of saffron threads, soaked in warm water
  • 1/2 cup of white wine
  • Extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta (bucatini or spaghetti) according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve a cup of pasta cooking water before draining.
