Love To Italy Academy (LTIA) originates from the minds of Alessandro Sofroni and Andrea Garwood. Both realized that in modern-day Italy, the passing down of culinary traditions from grandparents to nieces and nephews was coming to a screeching halt. Generation Z was no longer learning how to make gnocchi from an older parent or relative. Since Italian culinary arts are a national treasure that must be preserved, Alessandro and Andie saw an opportunity to promote high-quality ingredients with the signature Made in Italy while safeguarding authentic recipes, traditions, and techniques. And what better way to promote the Mediterranean diet than by teaching it?
LTIA pairs the highest level of training with only the finest Italian products, offering students a unique Italian experience without having to leave the United States. Based in Miami, our classes are designed for those with culinary experience who want to refine a specific aspect of their repertoire. There’s no point in putting expensive truffles on your menu if you don’t truly understand how to use them properly to maximize your return on investment. Join us in celebrating what Italy is really about: family, tradition, and extraordinary food and wine.
Simply put, our main goal is to provide culinary education in order to protect Italian cuisine around the world. On the way to achieving this, we also strive to promote all high- quality products that are truly made in Italy. Our vision is to create enthusiasm about preparing Italian food, stimulating a healthy import of Italian high- end products, and spreading the benefits of the Mediterranean diet, making it accessible to all. We feel that once someone understands how to use a product properly, it’s natural to incorporate it in their wheelhouse of preparations. We want everyone to have access to genuine Italian cuisine.
Food is culture, and Love To Italy Academy is its promoter, defender, and best advocate.
